Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
• Up to one year of work-related experience, or equivalent education/training.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• Current Basic Life Support certification; ACLS and PALS within six months of ED employment; TNCC recommended.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and records patient assessments and histories.
• Collaborates with care team to develop treatment plans.
• Administers medicines, monitors IVs and labs, and manages EKG rhythms.
• Adjusts treatments with physician guidance and uses professional judgment.
• Prepares equipment and assists during procedures.
• Educates patients and families about treatments and procedures.
• Communicates with patients and families to support emotional well-being.
• Makes rounds to monitor progress and respond to changes.
• Maintains accurate patient records and participates in QA.
• Acts as liaison and supports discharge planning and home care guidance.
• Provides clinical leadership and mentors junior staff.
• Maintains up-to-date nursing practices and safety standards.
