Job summary

Crisp Regional Health Services seeks an RN I to provide culturally sensitive care using the nursing process. This role focuses on developing and implementing patient care plans, collaborating with the care team, and educating patients and families during recovery.

The RN I will perform standard nursing duties, monitor patient conditions, and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining professional standards and contributing to performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree in Nursing and Neonatal Resuscitation Program and Electronic Fetal Monitoring, or equivalent.
• Up to one year of work-related experience or equivalent.
• Current RN license and in good standing; ACLS, NRP, and BLS certifications required with renewals.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and document findings; develop a care plan with medical notes.
• Collaborate with care team to evaluate and modify the plan as patient condition changes.
• Perform basic nursing skills and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Use professional judgment to adjust treatment and contact physician as needed.
• Prepare equipment and assist during examinations and treatments.
• Prioritize tasks to complete assignments within shifts reliably.
• Educate patients and families about treatments and care plans during recovery.
• Meet with patients and families to address emotional health related to care.
• Conduct rounds, monitor symptoms, and respond to treatment reactions.
• Support labor, delivery, and newborn care in coordination with team.
• Maintain thorough patient records and report pertinent information.
• Participate in performance improvement and discharge planning activities.
• Serve as clinical leader; orient and teach nursing staff and students.
