Job summary

Didlake, Inc. is a non-profit rehabilitation services organization serving thousands since 1965.

The Employment Specialist II provides supported employment services, job coaching, and individualized supports to people with disabilities in community-based and Didlake-operated work environments. This part-time role requires experience supporting individuals with disabilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage a caseload up to 40 with driving eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least one year of formal experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities; OR
• High school diploma/GED and at least one year of formal experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in an employment or vocational-specific setting.
• Experience with person-centered planning and individualized training is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine follow-up contacts with employers, consumers, family members, rehabilitation counselors, and support systems to ensure job success, stability, and retention.
• Provide job coaching, training, guidance, self-advocacy support, disability education, crisis intervention, re-training, travel training, assistive technology implementation, environmental modifications, and wage and benefits management assistance as needed.
• Develop, suggest content for, implement, and monitor ISPs and IWPs, including strategies for job retention and progress toward goals.
• Collect, maintain, and document consumer data, progress, and service records per accreditation standards and funding sources.
• Coordinate authorizations for services, secure approvals, request additional hours when needed, and inform families and supports.
• Ensure Group Supported Employment services comply with HCBS Settings Regulations and person-centered planning.
• May provide short-term employment services as a backup when needed.
