Job summary

Easterseals Midwest is looking for an Employment Specialist to help people with disabilities secure competitive employment in their communities. You will assess skills, assist with career exploration, and deliver pre-employment training, on-the-job supports, and retention services.

The role requires a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel to worksites and partner sites. Some evenings/weekends may be needed as caseload demands.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of individuals with disabilities required.
• At least one year in human services or employment services preferred; customer service experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assesses individuals’ abilities and interests to support job readiness.
• Assists with career exploration, planning, and pre-employment training.
• Provides on-the-job and retention supports.
• Communicates with individuals and worksite supervisors to ensure success.
• Manages caseload and ensures documentation compliance.
