Job summary

RISE Community Services in Warrensburg, MO seeks an Employment Support Specialist to provide direct coaching and on-site training for individuals with disabilities, focusing on job readiness, skill development, and successful workplace integration.

You will collaborate with employers, families, and support teams to monitor progress, encourage independence, and advocate for accommodations while upholding safety and workplace policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience and enthusiasm.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and positive reinforcement.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and any subsequent background check after employment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a Missouri Class E chauffeur’s license within 14 days of hire.
• Successfully complete employment-related training as directed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, on-the-job coaching and support.
• Assist individuals in learning job tasks, workplace expectations, and social skills.
• Encourage independence while providing appropriate guidance and reinforcement.
• Support individuals in developing soft skills such as communication, time management, and teamwork.
• Monitor and document individual progress, challenges, and support strategies.
• Maintain positive relationships with employers, families, and support teams.
• Ensure individual safety and compliance with workplace policies.
• Advocate for reasonable workplace accommodations as needed.
• All other duties assigned.
