Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks a Compliance Engineer for its Superior Township, MI facility, to support emissions and OBD compliance for Hyundai and Kia vehicles. The role focuses on analyzing emissions results, reviewing OBD data, and conducting related testing as needed.

You will review test results, develop test plans, and coordinate with product development to resolve compliance issues, while liaising with regulators and stakeholders to ensure timely action.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years engineering experience with 2+ years in emissions/OBD.
• Experience with emissions testing and vehicle OBD systems.

Responsibilities

• Review in-use compliance emissions test results for failures or trends.
• Develop, run, and document OBD PVE and ZEV PVV tests and reports.
• Analyze warranty data to identify compliance risks and report them.
• Submit CALID/CVN information for OBD DEC-ECUs quarterly.
• Lead investigations and coordinate with regulatory authorities.
