Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. required for teaching role.
• California Teaching Credential or commitment to obtain one.
• Certificate of Clearance verifying professional fitness.
• Spanish language ability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• In LCPS’s elementary model, teach TK–2 across all subjects in a self-contained classroom; grades 3–5 use team teaching for ELA, Math, Science, Fitness, PE, and Arts.
• Lead daily advisory crews and supervise duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate culturally responsive pedagogy with high expectations for all students.
• Plan and implement standards-based, learner-driven curriculum and lessons.
• Differentiate instruction to ensure access and growth for diverse subgroups.
• Utilize assessments (Schoology, MAP, etc.) to monitor progress and inform instruction.
• Collaborate with supervisor and school community on professional duties.
