Job summary

Early Learning Company in the United States is hiring an Assistant Teacher to support the classroom curriculum, foster safe, nurturing play, and help children learn and grow in a caring environment every day.

You will partner with the Lead Teacher to set routines, document progress, communicate with families, participate in professional development, and ensure health and safety standards are met, with a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous childcare or youth program experience preferred but not required.
• Must meet state licensing requirements for assistant teachers.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within timeframe).
• Able to participate in daily activities and lift 30–40 pounds.
• Strong communication and teamwork with families and staff.
• Patient, nurturing, and flexible with a positive work ethic.
• Ability to communicate in English, reading and writing required for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the classroom curriculum and adapt to needs of each child.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment for exploration and learning.
• Support development through structured activities and positive guidance.
• Collaborate with Lead Teacher on routines and parent communication.
• Monitor and report progress and concerns to Lead Teacher.
• Participate in professional development to improve classroom effectiveness.
• Follow health and safety protocols to keep environment clean and secure.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Uphold company standards and comply with licensing requirements.
