Job summary

Lake Forest School District is seeking a Paraprofessional for instructional support in the Delaware Early Childhood Center. The position is full-time (7.5 hrs/day) and temporary, with duties to assist teachers, reinforce instruction, and support student learning.

Under the supervision of the principal or assistant, you will implement behavior strategies, help prepare instructional materials, and assist with classroom management across early childhood settings.

Qualifications

• Eligible for Paraeducator Permit per requirements of the Delaware Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Assists teachers with instructional activities and group work to reinforce learning.
• Provides prompts and supports to students during lessons and activities.
• Manages classroom behavior and supports student safety and well-being.
• Assists with routine care and classroom tasks as needed.
• Prepares instructional materials and uses basic assistive technology to aid learning.
