Job summary

Community Memorial Health System is seeking a Diversion Prevention Pharmacy Technician to support the Controlled Substance Use Coordinator. The role involves daily surveillance, auditing, and education to maintain a compliant diversion prevention program.

The ideal candidate has a CA Pharmacy Technician license and at least 2 years in acute care pharmacy, with experience using automated dispensing cabinets and a Drug Diversion Prevention Certificate or equivalent.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required and CA Pharmacy Technician license.
Minimum 2 years acute care or health system pharmacy experience.
Minimum 2 years experience with automated dispensing cabinets.
ASHP Drug Diversion Prevention Certificate or equivalent within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Daily investigation, reconciliation, and resolution of narcotic discrepancies with follow-up and documentation.
Escalation to ensure regulatory compliance and medication accountability.
Support diversion prevention program under supervision to maintain data-driven compliance.
