Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. in Alderson, WV is seeking a Licensed Dentist to deliver high-quality dental care in a correctional healthcare setting. The role is a contract position with full-time schedules and shifts of 8 or 12 hours, including some weekends.

The provider will diagnose and treat dental conditions, perform procedures, develop treatment plans, and supervise staff while adhering to infection control standards. A valid WV license, PSV, and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Current, valid WV license/certification in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Dentist.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of current required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunizations, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Examine patients’ teeth, gums, and oral health.
• Diagnose and treat dental conditions and diseases.
• Perform fillings, extractions, crowns, and other dental procedures.
• Develop treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Take and review dental X-rays and diagnostic images.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Prescribe medications when necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Supervise dental hygienists and dental assistants.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
