Job summary

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is seeking a part-time Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care at Southern Regional Jail in Beaver, West Virginia. The dentist will supervise staff and provide oral health care to patients, including fillings, extractions, and root canals.

The ideal candidate holds a DDS or DDM, with current West Virginia dental and DEA licenses. Previous experience in a correctional setting and supervision is preferred. This position ensures adherence to health guidelines and staff management within the facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year practicing dentistry.
• Skill in recognizing the symptoms of shock and fainting.
• Correctional experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises dental staff and manages dental activity.
• Provides preventative and restorative treatment to inmates.
• Performs and interprets radiographic examinations.
• Ensures compliance with health policies and guidelines.
