Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a correctional health program. This is a long-term assignment with Day shift responsibilities in a state-operated facility.

You will provide professional nursing care, perform rounds, monitor vital signs, and administer prescribed medications and treatment plans, including CPR when needed.

The role requires computer literacy, weekend availability, adaptability to changing schedules, and the ability to work in a walking-intensive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be computer literate.
• Must be available any day of the week, including weekends.
• Willingness to adapt to changing schedules.
• Ability to work in a facility with extensive walking requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients in a state-operated facility.
• Observes, assesses, and records symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients.
• Makes nursing rounds and takes and records vital signs.
• Prepares and administers prescribed medications and treatment plans.
• Monitors patients who are restrained and provides immediate medical attention in emergencies.
• Administers first aid and arranges transportation to emergency services when necessary.
• Counsels patients regarding the need for medical referrals.
• Participates in staff development and education initiatives.
• Reviews care plans created by staff and trains new employees as necessary.
• Responsible for the health care of bedridden patients, including evaluating care needs.
• Administers medications, including narcotics, in accordance with facility protocols.
• Performs specialized procedures such as IV therapy, wound care, and CPR.
