NaphCare, Inc. is hiring a Correctional Nurse Practitioner for Limestone Correctional Facility in Harvest, AL. You will provide comprehensive medical care in a secure, controlled environment alongside correctional staff and a team of healthcare professionals.

The NP will assess, diagnose, treat, prescribe, and respond to emergencies while following correctional health policies. Strong collaboration and independent judgment are essential in this unique setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced nursing education required (Master's or Doctorate).
• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in AL.
• DEA registration is required.
• Collaborative agreement with on-site Physician.
• ABMS board certification preferred.
• BLS CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical examinations and develop treatment plans.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions (asthma, HTN, diabetes)
• Administer medications and provide patient instructions
• Monitor health records, vital signs, and histories
• Provide direct patient care and coordinate services
• Respond to medical emergencies and arrange transfers
• Educate patients on prevention and healthy lifestyles
• Adhere to facility security protocols with healthcare team
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment plans
• Conduct rounds and evaluate patients returning from off-site treatment
• Admit and discharge patients as needed
