Qualifications

• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• If holding a temporary practice permit, must obtain RN licensure within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and treatment to inmates with medical, behavioral, or developmental needs in a correctional setting.
• Implement care plans by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with daily living needs.
• Assist physicians during exams, clinics, and screenings.
• Provide emergency response including CPR, first aid, and AED use.
• Maintain medical records, prepare reports, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Sterilize instruments, track inventory, and maintain necessary medical supplies.
• Attend training sessions and stay informed on policy and procedure updates.
