Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Correctional Mental Health Therapist in West Springfield, Pennsylvania. The role focuses on planning and delivering non-medical mental health services to inmates, with a salary range of $72,000–$82,000 per year.

The position requires a Master’s degree in a related field, licensure (OH LPCC or LISW), and at least five years of clinical experience, including two years in a similar role. CoreCivic offers a drug-free workplace and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or a related clinical area.
• Five (5) years of clinical experience including two (2) years in a comparable job position.
• Must possess OH LPCC or LISW certification or licensing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health screenings and assessments from records and inmate interviews.
• Develop, implement and modify individual treatment plans based on needs and functioning.
• Document treatment and evaluations in health care records for each person seen.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials at all times.
• Demonstrate knowledge of counseling theory and techniques for caseload activities.
• Provide mental health assessments, counseling and crisis interventions.
