Job summary

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in education including or supplemented by a approved teaching practicum.
• Active Instructional 1 or 2 certification issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (or equivalent).
• Equivalent combination of experience and training with practicum and/or instruction experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer pre-tests and post-tests to determine placement and measure progress.
• Create individualized lesson plans and select teaching methods matching student needs.
• Teach subjects such as math, reading, writing, science, and social studies in a structured classroom.
• Keep accurate attendance, inventory, and student documentation according to procedures.
• Establish classroom expectations, address disruptive behavior, and maintain a productive learning environment.
