Job summary

Montage Marketing Group seeks a Copywriter/Copyeditor to draft, refine, and quality-check compelling content for diverse clients and campaigns. You’ll translate complex information into clear, audience-focused copy across reports, websites, and social media, while ensuring adherence to AP Style and brand guidelines.

The role is full-time, exempt, with a hybrid schedule at our Rockville, MD office and a home office. Remote options are available for certain states.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional copywriting, editing, and proofreading experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or similar field.
• Strong understanding of writing for digital platforms, social media, SEO, and content optimization.
• Ability to organize complex information and communicate it clearly and concisely.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and other common content development tools.
• AP Style proficiency; proficiency in APA/MLA a plus.
• Experience writing for government, public sector, or highly technical audiences is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit content for internal agency and external client communications (reports, presentations, websites, campaigns, social media).
• Translate complex information into clear, engaging language for diverse audiences (government, private clients).
• Copy edit and proofread for grammar, style, accuracy, consistency, and readability.
• Create long-form and short-form content (blogs, factsheets, one-pagers, website).
• Adapt messaging and tone for different audiences and channels.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and SMEs to deliver high-quality outputs.
• Ensure content aligns with client requirements, brand standards, and style guides.
• Support proposals and business development with persuasive content.
• Apply AP Style and plain-language guidelines across materials.
