Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to perform CMA duties in outpatient settings under supervision of licensed providers. Responsibilities include vital signs, specimen collection, injections per policy, and assisting in exams and procedures.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Medical Assisting or an Associate degree (preferred).
• BLS - Instructor or Basic Life Support required.
• Medical Assistant certification required on hire.
• GA Driver's license required if working in certain care settings.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, collect specimens, and assist in ambulation.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures in ambulatory care.
• Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies and maintain clean environment.
• Document patient information and orders in EMR (PowerChart/AD Hoc notes).
• Front office duties such as registration, scheduling, and billing when needed.
