Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support the Internal Medicine / Peds teams in a busy ambulatory setting. The role involves patient data collection, assisting physicians, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

Ideal candidates will have pediatric experience, a completed Medical Assistant program, and active BLS certification. A variety of benefits and growth opportunities are provided by the clinic.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or at least 1 year of verifiable CMA experience) required.
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Certifications: CCMA CMA CMAC NCMA NRCMA NRCAMA RMA (various agencies) or equivalent acceptable credential.

Responsibilities

• Accountable to leadership for operational issues and quality improvements.
• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examinations.
• Assists physician or APP during examinations and procedures.
• Documents patient data, treatments, and education per policies.
• Schedules specialty testing and physician consultations as needed.
• Processes calls professionally and uses clinical judgment.
