Qualifications

• Education Required: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Education Preferred: Doctor in pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Experience Preferred: At least 1 year in an institutional setting.
• Other Skills/Knowledge Required: Strong computer skills required.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow hospital team members.
• Other Skills/Knowledge Preferred: EPIC Willow / Beacon Experience; USP 797/800 sterile compounding environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Dispenses medication by interpreting and accurately dispensing for inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Monitors dosage, interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of therapy.
• Communicates with healthcare team and patients to clarify therapy.
• Maintains patient medication records and processes STAT orders promptly.
• Prepares IV fluids, chemotherapy, and other solutions following aseptic technique.
