USD 313 has an opening for an Instructional Para-Professional at Buhler Grade School. The position is 7.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, during the school year. Pay is based on education and experience and follows Board Policy.

SUPERVISOR: Teacher and Principal. Classification: Non-Exempt. This role supports teachers by adapting activities, administering assignments, and assisting in monitoring student progress while maintaining confidentiality and safety across the school day.

Formación

• Verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Be neat, responsible, punctual and dependable.
• Sensitivity to students’ needs and ability to relate to students and staff.
• Maintain current TB testing as required by health regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Adapts classroom activities and materials under supervision to support objectives.
• Administers tests, homework, and makeup work to support teachers.
• Attends meetings and in-service presentations to acquire or convey job-related information.
• Communicates with supervising staff and parents about student progress.
• Maintains instructional materials and records for instruction and mandated requirements.
• Monitors students during assigned times across school environments for safety.
• Provides instruction to students in various activities under supervision of teachers.
• Provides short-term classroom supervision during teachers’ collaboration times (up to 3 periods).
• Demonstrates dependability, promptness and regular attendance for consistent routines.
• Maintains confidentiality of student and staff information.
• Performs other related duties to ensure efficient functioning of the unit.
