Job summary

ArchCity Defenders seeks Summer 2027 legal interns to support our Civil Rights and Direct Representation teams in St. Louis. Interns will conduct research, draft legal documents, assist with discovery, and communicate with clients and community members.

They’ll work closely with staff attorneys on housing, consumer, criminal, and municipal matters. Interns gain court exposure, participate in community events, and receive mentorship from a diverse legal team committed to racial and economic

Responsibilities

• Perform legal research and draft memos, motions, pleadings, and related documents.
• Assist with discovery and investigation for cases.
• Interview and communicate with clients or class members.
• Attend court proceedings with staff attorneys when hearings occur.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to support ArchCity Defenders’ mission and expand outreach.
