Job summary

Lutheran Services Florida seeks Child Welfare Case Managers to provide wrap-around services to families in Florida. The role emphasizes building relationships with clients, following agency values, and coordinating with a team to support child safety and permanency.

Responsibilities include timely home visits, case planning with guardians and service providers, and accurate FSFN documentation within 48 hours. A valid Florida driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of relevant experience and become certified within 1 year.
• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field; Degree in Social Work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accept all cases assigned by unit supervisor and meet with children in their primary residence within 2 working days of staffing.
• Develop a case plan with family, Guardian Ad Litem, foster parents, and other parties to support reunification or permanency.
• Visit the child at least once every 25 days, with at least one unannounced visit each quarter.
• Document all case activities in the Florida Safe Families Network within 48 hours; keep case files orderly.
