Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Business Applications Developer to build robust associate-facing applications enabling analytics, streamlined processes, and informed business decisions. You’ll collaborate with Business Partners, Infrastructure Engineers, DevOps, and IT Security to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Responsibilities include coding, testing, documenting, and configuring servers while promoting best practices across platforms. A hybrid schedule is required in the US.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of SQL, R, Python, or Power BI programming experience.
• 1+ year of full-time relevant work experience in the US.
• BA/BS in a STEM related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Able to work a hybrid schedule based out of Bethesda MD, Chicago IL, or Cleveland OH.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical design specifications for application system changes and new systems.
• Code, debug, test and document.
• Create, execute, and evaluate test plans for application systems.
• Configure servers, research and implement software, services to promote best practices.
• Create plans for project tasks.
