Job summary

Castelion Corporation seeks a Principal Build Reliability Engineer to ensure flight component reliability and drive quality improvements across design and manufacturing teams. The role involves evaluating data to improve manufacturing quality and actively represent quality objectives in design and development processes.

You will lead Design for Manufacture, partake in PDR/CDR to ensure DFQ/DFM, risk quantification, and suitable test validation methods, and guide cross‑functional teams in quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in aerospace, manufacturing, materials, mechanical engineering or physics.
• Minimum 5+ years in a quality, manufacturing, or design engineering role.
• Experience supporting production of complex electro‑mechanical, mechanical, or composites systems in high volume work centers and/or during production ramp‑up.
• Knowledge of Lean principles, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and various problem‑solving approaches.
• Dedicated to adopting a Lean approach to quality without compromising safety or reliability.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate product and process output data to drive improvements in manufacturing quality and actively represent quality objectives in design and development teams.
• Design for Manufacture (DFM) and participate in PDR/CDR to ensure DFQ/DFM, risk quantification, and appropriate test validation methods are considered.
• Lead first article/testing planning, inspection planning, and nonconformance root-cause investigations.
