Job summary

Pikes Peak State College is hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst to build and maintain BI reports and dashboards, transforming institutional data into accessible insights. The role handles large datasets, supports surveys and reporting requirements, and reports to the Executive Director of IE.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s (or higher) in a related field, 3+ years with Cognos/Edify and SQL, 3+ years with Power BI/Tableau, and strong statistical analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is required.
• Three years of experience with BI tools (IBM Cognos Analytics, EAB Edify) and SQL.
• Three years of experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience in descriptive and inferential statistics (SPSS, R) is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize reports in Cognos and Edify.
• Design dashboards and data visualizations to show trends and KPIs.
• Provide SME guidance on BI/report design and create training materials.
• Document data sources, logic, definitions, and processes.
• Respond to data requests with timely, accurate information.
• Conduct descriptive/inferential analyses to assess programs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve data availability and governance.
