Job summary

Three Peaks Elementary in Cedar City, UT is seeking a Part Time Behavior Intervention Paraprofessional to support students with behavioral and mental health needs and to foster positive social skills and classroom conduct.

Under the supervision of the Principal, Special Education Educator, School Counselor and LCSW, you will collect data, help implement behavioral plans, and collaborate with staff to build capacity for student success.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with behavior or mental health needs.
• Ability to use Google Suite effectively.
• Willingness to work as part of a school team.
• Regular attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Collects, documents, manages, and uses data to inform functional behavior assessments and plans.
• Uses Google Suite effectively for documentation.
• Changes to student programming are data-driven and documented.
• Collaborates with staff to build the school's capacity to address student needs.
• Participates in ongoing professional development.
• Adheres to local, state, and federal policies for special education and behavior compliance.
• Provides instructional support to students and groups.
• Supports classroom management systems and routines.
• Guides students in positive social interactions.
• Operates office equipment such as computers and copiers.
• Maintains regular attendance and performance.
