Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking an experienced Claims Representative, Auto | Property Damage, to analyze and process auto claims from low to mid level. You will assess damage, determine payments, and document files in line with policy provisions while maintaining strong client communication.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, familiarity with personal and commercial lines, and the ability to review estimates, negotiate settlements, and pursue subrogation when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• State adjusting licenses must be secured and maintained as required.
• Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies.
• Ability to review Property Damage estimates and negotiate claims.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Processes auto property damage and lower level injury claims; assesses damage, makes payments, and ensures claim files are properly documented and correctly coded based on the policy.
• Develops and maintains action plans to ensure state required contract deadlines are met and to move the file towards prompt and appropriate resolution.
• Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities; secures and disposes of salvage.
• Communicates claim action/processing with insured, client, and agent or broker when appropriate.
• Maintains professional client relations.
• Performs coverage, liability, and damage analysis on all claims assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
