Job summary

Gordon County Schools Central Office - Calhoun, Georgia is seeking an ASP Student Worker to supervise children in the Gordon County Schools after care program. The role requires a warm demeanor, reliable attendance, and a commitment to district guidelines.

Responsiblities include supervising activities, maintaining a neat classroom, attending trainings, and ensuring safety. This is a part-time position with duties aligned to district needs and dismissal procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, and be able to relate well to children.
• Willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the district’s program and philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the classroom/activity area.
• Helps with the general housekeeping tasks.
• Maintains a professional attitude and loyalty to the district at all times.
• Treats all children with dignity and respect.
• Attends all staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences.
• Helps to maintain a neat and organized classroom/activity area.
• Supervises all activities to ensure safety at all times.
• Reports the Director and/or Assistant Director any problem which may occur with the children.
• Performs additional program duties as assigned by the Director and/or Assistant Director according to the district’s needs.
• Participates in dismissal procedures at the end of after care, ensuring that each child leaves with the appropriate adult.
• Maintains a professional attitude and loyalty to the district at all times.
• Works with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere.
