Job summary

Tutors will work with multiple subjects, including reading, math, science and history, and collaborate with teachers and UI program management to ensure student understanding and progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Local to the area.
• Two years of education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Foster a engaging and safe learning environment for K-12 students.
• Tutor in reading/literacy, math, science and history as needed.
• Communicate with students in a friendly and professional manner.
• Review course content with students and explain concepts clearly.
• Help students prepare for tests and quizzes, clarifying key concepts.
• Bridge communications between students and teachers regarding course content.
• Coordinate with UI program management on questions about content.
