Qualifications

Licensed NP/PA in state of practice.
National certification: FNP/ANP/AGNP or PA-C.
Current BLS; ACLS may be required depending on contract scope.
Current DEA license if allowed by state.
Current NPI.
DOT medical examiner certification on hire.

Responsibilities

Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures including DOT exams when required.
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests.
Maintain medical records using EMR.
Collaborate with physicians to prepare comprehensive care plans for work-related injuries and illnesses.
Prescribe medications or therapies as appropriate.
Refer patients to overseeing physicians or specialists.
Perform clinical procedures under Medical Director direction.
Educate and coach clinical staff on best practices.
