Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network seeks an Occupational Therapist Assistant to support the Acute Care OT service within the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department.

The OTA provides intervention under supervision, communicates progress with the Acute Care OT, and assists with discharge planning. Must hold PA OTA license; NJ license if applicable; NBCOT registration; an associates degree; CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible to practice as Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in PA; NJ license required for NJ employment.
• NBCOT registration as an OTA is required.
• Associates degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Current CPR certification; successful completion of clinical affiliations.

Responsibilities

• Provides OT intervention in acute care under supervision by licensed OTs.
• Communicates client progress with the Acute Care OT and team.
• Identifies need for reevaluation based on goals and status.
• Prioritizes, implements and documents interventions to aid safe discharge.
• Completes timely documentation within 2 hours of intervention.
