Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an Accounting Intern for a 12-week summer 2027 program. You will join the Accounting team within Finance to gain hands-on experience across accounting operations and collaborate with Tax, FP&A, Treasury, and Source-to-Pay teams.

You’ll work on balance sheet reconciliations, system implementations, and month/quarter-end close across US and international stakeholders, gaining exposure to diverse accounting functions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field with foundational knowledge of US GAAP.
• Demonstrated analytical ability applied to accounting or finance contexts (reconciliations, variance analysis, financial modeling).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines across competing workstreams.
• Familiarity with SQL, Snowflake, Looker or similar analytics tools; interest in crypto assets is a plus.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and schedules for month-end close with guidance from Accounting team.
• Collaborate with Global GL Operations, Revenue Accounting, Digital Asset Inventory Accounting, and Capital Markets/Prime Financing Accounting with US and international stakeholders.
• Contribute to projects such as new system logic implementations, process enhancements, or product launches.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, including non-US subsidiary statutory financial statements.
• Maintain process documentation and ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures across workstreams.
