Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking an immediate Paraeducator Level II for Captain James Daly Elementary School to support a 2nd grade student from 11am to 1pm daily. The role is a Temporary Part Time position without benefits, with wage discussions handled by the hiring manager.

The paraeducator will assist with instructional activities, behavior management, and special needs support as outlined in 504 guidelines.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year of experience in a structured educational setting preferred.
• Alternative: 48 college credits and two years of related experience.
• Successful completion of ParaPro assessment may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support a 2nd grade student from 11am-1pm daily.
• Assist with instructional program and behavior monitoring.
• Provide classroom management support and clerical assistance as needed.
