Job summary

University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources in Half Moon Bay is seeking a Community Education Specialist 2 to support the 4-H Youth Development Program in San Mateo County. This 50% variable, part-time role focuses on coordinating activities, outreach, and training for volunteers and youth.

The CES 2 will promote positive youth development, ensure policy compliance, and collaborate with schools and community partners while maintaining enrollment and program records.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with diverse communities and audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for youth, volunteers and partners.
• Ability to coordinate volunteers, staff and multiple programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the daily activities of the 4-H YDP in San Mateo County.
• Provide training and support to community club leaders, volunteers, youth and partners.
• Promote program expansion, outreach and recruitment in consultation with RPC and Advisor.
• Ensure compliance with 4-H policies and UC ANR procedures.
• Maintain enrollment records and assist with paperwork and reporting.
