Job summary

Palmer Candy Company seeks a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift at our Bluff St. facility in Sioux City, IA. The role focuses on reliable maintenance, repair, and safety-aligned practices across equipment and building systems.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, collaborate with teams and contractors, maintain records, and support multiple facilities on a rotating basis; overtime and attendance are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Read and interpret pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Safely operate Power Industrial Vehicles.
• Complete training on facility equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, intermediate, and preventive maintenance and repair tasks in accordance with established standards.
• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and waste management systems.
• Work independently within guidelines and prioritize tasks.
• Collaborate with internal teams and assist contractors on complex repairs and projects.
• Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance reports by collecting and analyzing data.
