Job summary

DownCity Design (DCD) is a community design studio in Providence, RI. The Program Impact VISTA will develop communications tools for families and schools, strengthen evaluation processes, and compile resources to support multilingual learners.

Spanish fluency is strongly preferred, and you will gain hands-on experience in nonprofit capacity-building with mentorship from experienced staff. Service runs November 2026–November 2027, offering professional development through RI's youth-serving

Qualifications

• Strong written communication skills and comfort with data and surveys.
• Genuine enthusiasm for youth development and social justice.
• Spanish fluency is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Family and School Engagement: develop bilingual communications systems for students, families, and school partners; create a bilingual family newsletter (≥3/year).
• Program Evaluation: interview stakeholders on evaluation gaps; design pre/post surveys; implement surveys; analyze results; create end-of-session reports; document tools for staff.
