The Jewish Federation Of Greater Washington seeks a Communications Manager to translate priorities into compelling stories and messaging. You will craft content across campaigns, publications, digital channels, and donor communications while maintaining an editorial calendar and high editorial standards.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, this hybrid role in the Greater Washington region focuses on producing high-quality content that reflects the Federation's voice and values, engaging

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in communications, project coordination, event support, or a related field
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and project management tools such as ClickUp
• Sound judgment, adaptability, and a solutions-oriented approach in fast-paced or changing environments
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to anticipate needs and manage multiple competing priorities
• Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Greater Washington (DC, MD, and Northern VA) region. This is a hybrid position, with 3 days a week required in our headquarters

Responsibilities

• Lead Content Development: Develop written content across campaigns, publications, digital channels, stewardship, fundraising, executive communications, and organizational initiatives
• Interview staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners to identify and develop compelling stories
• Translate organizational priorities into clear, engaging, audience-centered messaging; Produce speeches, articles, impact stories, web content, email copy, reports, and other written communications
• Drive Editorial Excellence: Manage the editorial calendar, maintain standards for voice and tone, identify storytelling opportunities, maintain Federation's story library
