Job summary

The Boston Foundation is seeking a Program Associate for Economic Development and Arts & Culture. The role supports the Program Officer and teams to advance grantmaking, research, convenings and events, while handling administrative duties and coordination across initiatives.

Responsibilities include tracking grant activities, preparing strategy documents, and serving as liaison for partners. Requires strong communication, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • 3-5 years professional work experience in a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of Economic Development Program area non‑profits is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects; organize and coordinate projects with multiple components.
  • Coordinate teamwork and work as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated planning, organizing and implementing complex activities;.
  • Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program support for development, implementation and evaluation of strategies and investments in Economic Development and Arts & Culture.
  • Stay informed about activities in the Economic Development field.
  • Track and report on foundation grantmaking activities and collaborations.
  • Prepare strategy documents for board meetings and convenings.
  • Maintain program area impact and goals; manage calendars and tasks.
  • Draft materials including due diligence, correspondence, meeting notes and updates.
  • Coordinate meetings, events and attendee logistics with colleagues and partners.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as expense reporting and contact management.
  • Assist with special projects and cross-department collaborations.
