Job summary

Pursuit is hiring a Support Coach in New York to drive Builder persistence from onboarding through placement. You will identify barriers—financial, transportation, childcare, health—and connect Builders to the right resources and partners while building the program's resource bench.

Reporting to the COO, you will expand external partnerships and create tools to help Builders navigate support systems, leveraging AI where helpful. Hybrid work in LIC, salary $75k-$80k.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in social work, case management, community health, benefits navigation, or another barrier-focused support role.
• Deep knowledge of public benefits, financial assistance, and community resources available to New Yorkers facing economic hardship.

Responsibilities

• Own Builder persistence as your core outcome, staying connected to each Builder's situation from onboarding through job placement.
• Proactively identify barriers to persistence - financial hardship, transportation, childcare, health, or other life circumstances.
• Be a steady, encouraging presence for Builders working through internal barriers - confidence, self-doubt, imposter syndrome.
• Connect Builders to resources and partners addressing barriers, from public benefits to transportation support.
• Build and expand Pursuit's bench of external partnerships and resources.
• Use AI tools to build lightweight tools that help Builders navigate resources themselves.
• Partner with Instructors and Career Coaches to flag Builders needing support and coordinate plans.
• Track patterns in barriers and inform leadership on program design.
