Qualifications

• Member in good standing of the State Bar of California.
• Strong legal writing, research, editing and analytical skills.
• Experience in all stages of civil litigation.
• Bilingual ability desirable (Hmong/English or Spanish/English especially relevant).

Responsibilities

• Case evaluation and development.
• Maintain a significant litigation caseload (intake through trial).
• Effectively negotiate settlements and implement a settlement strategy when necessary.
• Collaborate with the affirmative litigation team to ensure high-quality representation.
• Assist the Director of Litigation in developing relationships with client groups and community organizations.
• Identify systemic issues through collaboration with other CCLS legal teams and partners.
• Attend weekly case review meetings and stay current with laws and policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
