Office of the Illinois State Treasurer seeks a Manager of Private Market Impact Investments to support the Private Markets Impact Investment portfolio, including ILGIF, FIRST Fund, and related programs. The role emphasizes due diligence, performance measurement, and stakeholder collaboration in the Chicago area.

The position requires a background in finance/investments, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate across teams to ensure policy objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/economics or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 2–5 years’ experience in financial analysis, investments, portfolio management; or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day management of the Student Empowerment Fund and other impact-focused portfolios.
• Source, evaluate, and recommend new impact-oriented investment opportunities.
• Monitor investment performance and manage external managers and investments.
• Maintain market intelligence on impact investing trends and programs.
• Coordinate reporting and communications with investment managers and programs.
• Draft content to support publications and outreach for the programs.
