Job summary

Jacobs invites you to join as a Sustainability and Environmental Compliance Intern. You will support project teams on critical environmental projects while learning under experienced staff.

Expect fieldwork up to 50% and travel as needed, with hybrid work in a US-based setting including Salt Lake City and other listed locations. You will analyze air and greenhouse gas data, prepare technical reports, review regulations, and assist in subcontract scoping for world-class projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• Completion of at least two years of collegiate coursework.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to perform field work.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to work in preferred locations (Salt Lake City, UT and other listed cities).
• 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Internship related to your field is a plus.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of Jacobs management.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• HAZWOPER training eligibility or requirement if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis including air and greenhouse gas emissions.
• Create technical reports documenting activities and results.
• Review regulations and prepare compliance demonstrations.
• Plan and execute field activities including observations, auditing, soil and groundwater sampling.
• Prepare scopes of work for subcontracts.
