Job summary

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in Seattle, WA is seeking a Senior Program Officer, Gynecology, to lead a portfolio of investments and partnerships aimed at advancing products for high-burden gynecologic conditions.

Candidates should hold an advanced degree (MD and/or PhD) in gynecology or related area and bring 10+ years of experience in women's health product development, research, or clinical care, with a track record in clinical trials and global health collaboration.

Advanced degree in gynecology or adjacent field.
Over 10 years of experience in women's health product development, research, or gynecology clinical care.

Responsibilities

Develop a strategically aligned portfolio of investments focused on heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB) and other gynecologic conditions.
Collaborate with private sector partners, researchers, and global health organizations to align innovation with the needs of women and girls in LMICs.
Lead WHI initiatives for HMB and gynecology/menstrual health (MH).
Assess and address gaps in understanding of HMB etiology, prevalence, and burden, focusing on association with anemia and well-being.
