Job summary

Catholic Homes New York is seeking a Senior Director of Preservation to design and lead a scalable investment platform that integrates disciplined real estate execution with a faith-based social-services mandate.

This leader will oversee the end-to-end investment lifecycle—from structuring complex equity stacks involving internal capital, co-GPs, and institutional endowments, to delivering board-level strategic analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Urban Planning, or related field
• Ability to build dynamic financial models from scratch
• Understanding of real estate finance fundamentals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
• Commitment to the mission of providing high-quality housing for low-income New Yorkers

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end investment lifecycle from concept to board-level execution
• Engineer complex equity and debt stacks with internal capital and partners
• Prepare investment memos and strategic analyses for the Board
• Oversee due diligence workflows with counsel and third-party vendors
• Direct market research and feasibility for social-service-integrated housing
• Maintain a proprietary pipeline of off-market opportunities through relationships
