Job summary

The Public Welfare Foundation is seeking a Program Analyst to support three program directors and the President & CEO in Washington, DC. The analyst will conduct program research, analyze trends, and prepare internal grant materials for leadership and grantees.

The role involves drafting summaries, coordinating with staff, reviewing grant reports, and helping plan meetings and events to advance the Foundation's justice initiatives nationwide.

Qualifications

• Completed college degree in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years full-time work experience including facilitating meetings/workshops, coordinating projects, and writing for internal or external audiences; nonprofit sector preferred.
• Demonstrated work in juvenile justice, criminal justice, or with people directly impacted by the legal system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to the program team through research, writing, editing, preparation of meeting materials, and data collection and analysis.
• Coordinates assistance to Foundation grantees and partners with program directors; identifies emergent issues and trends in criminal justice for exploration and investment.
• Reviews interim and final grant reports and indicators of progress to bolster learning about the impact of grantmaking.
• Drafts proposal summaries for internal review by the President & CEO and Board of Directors.
• Attends funder briefings and conferences; produces summaries for the program team.
• Helps plan, design, and organize program meetings, conferences, events to support programmatic goals.
• Prepares program materials for board meetings, including grantee updates and research on/news clippings.
• Contributes to special projects in support of the Foundation’s agenda and goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
