Job summary

The National Geographic Society is seeking a Project Manager, Advancement, to translate strategy into clear plans, timelines, and milestones across campaigns, donor initiatives, and events.

You will lead governance, capacity planning, and reporting using Monday.com, providing executives with dashboards and insights to drive timely decisions. A nonprofit background and PMP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of project management experience in nonprofit or similar environment.
• Proficiency with Monday.com for workflow design, tracking, and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication with leadership stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop structured, time-bound project plans for campaigns, events, and donor initiatives.
• Establish governance, intake, prioritization, and approvals across the portfolio.
• Coordinate cross-functional work with senior leaders to align resources and capacity.
• Provide executive dashboards and progress reporting to inform decision‑making.
