Job summary

Friends of the Children Fargo-Moorhead seeks a Major Gifts Officer to develop lasting donor relationships and secure significant gifts to support our 12+ year mentorship model.

You will manage a portfolio of individuals and families, coordinate with the Executive Director and Board, and design personalized plans that drive multi-year commitments and sustainable funding for youth-focused programs in the Fargo-Margo region.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in fundraising or a related donor portfolio field.
• Proven success growing donor portfolios and securing gifts.
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using a CRM or donor database to track relationships.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of current and prospective donors.
• Identify opportunities and solicit major gifts and multi-year pledges.
• Collaborate with Executive Director and board on donor engagements.
• Provide timely stewardship updates and donor impact reports.
• Plan donor events and coordinate with finance for reporting.
