Job summary

The University of Nebraska Foundation in Omaha seeks a strategic Major Gifts professional to be a trusted fundraising partner, advancing campaigns and donor relationships that change lives. You will plan and implement major gift strategies, identify, cultivate, and steward donors, and build relationships with alumni and philanthropists to align giving with university priorities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
1-5 years’ experience in development, fundraising, or related field.
Proven success in soliciting annual and major gifts.
Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects; discretion with confidential matters; strong oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

Build a robust community of philanthropic support.
Plan and implement major gift fundraising strategies including identification, cultivation, and stewardship.
Build relationships with alumni and engaged philanthropists to align their philanthropy with the university priorities.
Assist in the creation and implementation of overall development strategy.
